Well today Delaney started morning kindergarten. She had been asking to move from afternoon kindergarten to morning kindergarten so she could nap in the afternoon. We will see how it goes, but so far I think I will like it better. I will be able to get my day going earlier and wont have a break in my day for kindergarten.
On to new news, we have adoped a horse!!! Yeah us!!! We are so excited, it has been too long since we have had horses in our lives ( at least for me!!! ) Our new horse is Christian Bail, although I think we will shorten it to just Christian. The background to us getting the horse is , at least for me, an example of how God works. This all started a few months ago when a friend of a friend(sue) was horse sitting. Sue called and asked if I would like to ride a bit (her back isnt great so she cant ride to much). I jumped at the chance! I had been toying with the idea of trying to leasing a horse and had been praying about getting a horse. I went out and rode Seven, who is an Arab from a horse rescue called Shiloh.
http://www.shilohhorserescue.com/ My last horse was a Arab and I loved him so much! So I fell in love with Seven as he is sooo much like Zeus. Sue told me about Darcy (who ownes Seven) and sugessted that we get together when she got back. After Darcy got back we talked a little about Seven and the horse rescue. I started looking at their website and at all the horses they had. I was looking for a horse that I could ride but also a horse that my kids could ride and gain confidence on. I am a total judge a book by its cover kinda gal and had found a few horses I like, from their looks, at the rescue. I didnt know when I would be able to make it to Vegas just to look at a horse so I just continued to look on line. Well we had a trip to California with my grandparents set for the last week in September. I thought we were going to make it a long trip and leave from Ely and drive straight through to California. My grandparent wanted to meet in vegas and leave from there, so we spent 2 nights in vegas. I took that as a chance to go to Shiloh and look around, not intending to get a horse. As soon as I got there Jill said oh yeah I have the perfect horse for you. She went out to the pasture and got Christian Bail. They named him Christian Bail due to his brand. It looks like the Christian fish and they bailed him out from the auction. When I heard that I thought that this was the horse I had been praying for! We got him saddled up and I rode for a bit. I fell in love with him and thought he would be perfect for my girls! A week later when we came back from vacation we all went down and check out the horse. The girls loved him and he was so sweet with them. The rest is history!
