week 3 Runs 1 & 2

YEAH!!!! I was able to not only complete week 3 run 1 but i also was able to do day 2!!!! I tried to find just about any excuese to not run on Monday because I was really worried about the 3 minute runs. It was raining and even hailed a bit but by the time I was ready to run the weather was pretty nice, so I had no excuese. I told myself to at least try it, if all else failed I could always walk. Well I had to push hard for the end of the 3 minute runs but I made it!!!!!!!! I wanted to quit a few times but I didnt and I am so proud of myself! I am not sure when I will be able to finish week 3 due to my husband is out of town but I am going to try to finish it before Monday so I can start week 4.

Well I finished week 2!!!!!!!!!!! I was up early this morning (thanks to a little one named Emma-Leigh Grace) and I kept think to my self Okay I can do this I just have to finish todays run then I can move on!!! It was a hard run but I was able to complete it, I am not sure if I will be able to run my week 3 day 1 run but I dont have to think about that until Monday. My shins hurt again today but I put biofreeze on when I got home and they are feeling better now, I might ice them later we will see. Maybe on Monday I will use the bio freeze before my run and see if that helps. I did my 5 minute warm up and then stretched but it didnt seam to help. Oh well I will keep pushing I just hope I can completed at least 1 run on my week 3 so I dont have to repeate week 2!!! LOL

Updates

wow so as you can see I am not very good at updating my blog LOL. As before so much has happened!! We are not homeschooling Delaney, she is going to a different school about 12 Miles away. I take her to school in the morning and she rides the bus in the afternoon. It is a 4 day week so she has fridays off but the days are kinda long she is gone from about 7:45 when I drop her off at school until 4:30 when she gets of the bus. She is enjoying it and the teacher seam to be keeping her challenged. Our first parent teacher confrence should be in about 2 1/2 weeks!

Emma-Leigh had a tonsilectomy in June and has been doing GREAT since then!!! We are sooo happy! She had been sick 5-6 times just this year including being in the hospital twice this year! We met our out of pocket expenses even before her surgery!!! We hope that next year will be much different!

Erics schedule has changed and he will be working a 4 day work week just like Delaney just a bit longer (12 hour days) It will be nice on Fridays to be able to run and go to praise team practice with out the kids!

I have been playing the guitar in out praise team at church and its been fun!! I am also playing with a band on Saturday nights for a praise team for an out reach church that will be starting sometime this fall. I have also started running! Yeah I didnt think I could but I am doing it slowly but surely! The program I am running is called Couch to 5 K! It takes about 9 weeks to complete and I am on week 2.2 LOL I was not able to finish week 2 last week so I have continued to run week 2 this week and should finish it tomorrow morning! Its been kinda hard but its been fun. I love how I feel after a run!! (lol or a waddle) I have sufferend shin splints but I now have some arch support inserts that have helped with that. The next time I take a trip to Utah I am planning on stopping at a running store to have my gait checked out so they can tell me what shoes I need. I hope the right shoes will help as well. Well I am off for tonight I will try to update tomorrow after my W2D3 run!! Wish me luck!

Long time!

Well it has been quite a while since I posted last and so much as happened as it always does. Lets see if I can remember it all LOL.

For starters I will be homeschooling Delaney next year for first grade. She is not having any problems per say, she is more advanced than her peers and is not being challenged enough. I do not want her to become board or to just settle for second rate when it comes to her education. I always said I would never ever home school, but I guess I should have listened to my Granny about never saying never. Delaney is excited about it and I am planning on getting her involved in some more activities like 4H and dance to keep her socializing. We will also be able to spend time learning in the Bible and doing chores. Homeschooling will also allow us more flexibility with Erics job since he has such a crazy schedule. We will be able to travel more and see more family with out having to worry about missing to much school.

We or I guess I should say I bought a new horse for Christian to play with LOL. He is a Tennessee Walking Horse and is going to need some work but I am sure it will be worth it. I just had his shoes pulled and will be working on keeping him barefoot! I cant wait until the weather warms up and stops snowing so I can work with both boys more. Here are some videos of Chief let me know what you think! You might want to turn the sound down it was a bit windy!
